Billie Klein

Owner Credentials

Billie earned a BA in Economics from Occidental College and an MBA with an emphasis on Organization and Administration from University of Washington's Foster School of Business. Just out of college, she served as a Director of Human Resources for a large county government, a manufacturing company, and a major shipyard. She spent much of her career as a Director of Finance and Administration for a venture capital company and a bio-tech startup.  

 

She also owned an accounting and tax business in Hoquiam, WA for thirteen years where she earned status as an Enrolled Agent, an Accredited Tax Advisor, and served as Treasurer for the Washington Association of Accountants. She retired in 2005 but has worked as a seasonal tax preparer for both individuals and small businesses since then.  She participates in the Annual Filing Season Program with the IRS which requires annual continuing education in current tax law.

 

In 2016 she opened BK Accounting & Tax Solutions, LLC because she saw a need among small business owners for competent, trustworthy expertise. 

Personal Accomplishments

Blessed with good health, an alert mind, and support of loving family and friends, Billie Klein set off on another adventure. In 2016, she came out of a 10 year retirement to found BK Accounting & Tax Solutions. This is only another in a lifelong string of entrepreneurial activities she has pursued.

 

Off the clock she has: 

  • Sailed in most of the waters in the Pacific Northwest, around Vancouver Island, the Northern Coast of British Columbia, and from Port Angeles to Honolulu. Currently she single-hands a Ranger 23' in the South Sound

  • Flown a Piper Cherokee 180 single-engine plane over 50,000 miles throughout the US, Canada, and Alaska

  • Enjoys teaching others to sail

  • Invested in the stock market her entire adult life

 

all with a passion for living that small business owners must possess to be successful. She hopes to share her dedication to hard work and her excitement about her clients' growing businesses.
